I'm a Scared Student
... Get Me Out of Here ... 'Cause It's Haunted!
A previously anticipated reality TV show recording, fund-raising event
for LOROS, which took
place on Friday 13th to Saturday 14th August, 2004 (7.30pm-7.30am),
at the Harborough
Theatre, Market Harborough, Leics. Nevertheless, a 46 minute film from that recording is planned to be shown , when circumstances permit-watch this space!
'24 Hour Radio-Thon'
A memorable highlight of Ayaz's fund-raising events was the
'24 Hour Radio-Thon' broadcast, on the University of Bradford's Campus Radio Ramair, between 7pm-Sunday 28th May to 7pm-Bank
Holiday Monday 29th May, 1995. A pre-recorded interview with former England Test Cricketer-Darren Gough was a major highlight of the show as well a message of support for the Bradford Burns Unit from him, alongside fellow Yorkshire County Cricket Club players.
In addition, "Simon Shiekh" resigned, "live on air", 5 hours and 17 minutes into the show-being 12.17am, stunning presenters and supporters-tributes poured in from then on, and it became very exciting as everyone was on edge to see if he was going to complete the full 24-hour broadcast-and yes!-he made it all the way through-the last hour, being his final ever broadcast on the station.
Here are some pics from that actual
event, also showing fellow students/radio station presenters as contributors:

He returned, exclusively, for the radio studio's 25th anniversary on Tuesday 6th May, 2008, to present a one-off show, after almost 13 years!
Between its launch in March 1998 to May 2000, SSCOM.GROUP (prev.known as SSME until September 1999) was
out and about in Leics, hosting the 'Roadshow', for charity events,
organised by the general public. Below are some pics, from actual
events:
