ONGOING FILM DOCUMENTARY VENTURE-LEICS/EDINBURGH HEADING FOR HISTORY IN THE MAKING!

A Leicester Voluntary PR Agency, the SSCOM GROUP’s ongoing film documentary venture looking at multi/inter-culturalism between Leics and Edinburgh has generated a new meaning; the "People's Publicist", derived from major developments from it's last representation in Edinburgh, earlier this month. As a result, it's now heading for an historic finish, come late August/early September this year in Edinburgh. It's now continuing to work on making this an unrivalled venture between two British cities, and making Leicester the first ever English City to build unique multi/intercultural links, stemming from a voluntary perspective, and second to the most recent link, being Football between Hearts FC and Leicester City FC.

More continuing footage in Edinburgh was filmed during the last trip, including an exclusive interview with Mrs.Unis (former director of the Edinburgh Mela) of Mrs.Unis Spicy Foods Ltd. host of the "Sakhian Ladies Night" as part of it. She officially invites the people of Leics for the trip SSCOM GROUP is hosting/offering between 31st August to 3rd September. We would like local media representatives from Leics to be part of this to cover this exciting story-“a real first for Leics and for two British Cities ever!

The film entitled, "Simon Shiekh: An Insider's Guide to PR-Like You've Never Seen Before" has incorporated the Leicester Caribbean Carnival, which began shooting on it’s cancelled day last August, and is set to do so on it’s return day of Saturday 4th August this year. In addition, it's looking at multi-culturalism and the contrasts and similarities between Leics and Edinburgh’s ethnic populations and their counterparts. However, the group has taken a surprise move to finish filming in Edinburgh by being in the process of organising an historic trip from Leicester for a 3 night stay between 31st August and 3 September this year, exclusively, as something not to be missed. This should be a learning curve for Leicester by showing Edinburgh having good support from the community, from all avenues. It will also host a major multi-intercultural competition, possibly never seen before in the UK, between the two distinctive cities, involving local people and plans to take as many people from Leics as possible, including the newly elected Lord Mayor of Leicester and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Leicester. The group says they will help to play a major part in the venture and help represent Leics alongside SSCOM GROUP.

Ayaz Sheikh, 36, Founder/MD of the Group said, “This venture has now come across a dramatic major development which will help us to achieve the logic of why this film is being made. It needs to concentrate more on inter-culturalism from multi-culturalism and look at what we all have in common, despite being from different religious beliefs/ethnic groups and so on. The link to Edinburgh stems from my unlikely pen-pal friendship with a Scottish white male, who has completely different interests to me, apart from Cricket. Since then, further links have been made in such a short space of time. I believe that finishing the film in Edinburgh will be spectacular, and historic, in terms of inter-culturalism in it’s finest. As far as the competition angle goes, we are in the process of offering some locals/businesses and organisations the chance to be part of this venture. However, anyone is welcome to contact us to "apply" to take part. As well as people from Leics coming up, we will be organising back-up representation in this competition between the two cities from the comfort of their homes/workplaces and so on. We hope to officially announce as to what’ll be involved soon. It certainly looks to be exciting stuff; a brand new meaning to dawn for two British cities as a first!

Two major SSCOM GROUP showcase party events are planned for later this year-a Saturday evening to be confirmed in Leicester, and Saturday 1st September (during the final filming trip) in Edinburgh.

What SSCOM GROUP is hoping to develop on in the run-up to the ending of the film

SSCOM GROUP said that the trippers should also get the chance to see the popular grand finale of the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert, performed against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, which will close the Edinburgh Festival on Sunday 2nd September, and be special guests of the Edinburgh Mela.

The group is now looking for anyone from Leicester who can assist SSCOM GROUP in working on organising this trip asap, alongside existing help. It’s also looking for further locals from Edinburgh to help out filming and arranging “hospitality” for the final filming trip, as well as being interested in building unique links never anticipated.

Anyone interested in joining as a volunteer to help film/organise or book for the trip from Leics/take part in the film in Leics/Edinburgh or receive further information about the project/Edinburgh final filming trip, should either call: 07817 057078, e-mail: info@sscom-group.com  or log on to: www.sscom-group.com
