PLEASE SEE PRESS RELEASE OF THURSDAY 28TH FEBRUARY, 2008 FOR UP-TO-DATE NEWS RE: THIS.

Leics Voluntary PR Agency Group secures East Midlands MEP, UKIP’s Derek Clark’s help to end filming of documentary between Leics and Edinburgh; Derek set to visit Edinburgh for very first time.

Two cities’ Rugby grounds play unexpected host to exclusive respective functions to remember-April 2008.

Parties and functions are well renowned as great opportunities to meet new people. However, a Leics based voluntary PR agency, the SSCOM GROUP-(Simon Shiekh Communications Group)’s ending of a long running filming of a documentary, examining the contrasts and similarities between Leics and Edinburgh’s ethnic populations, has helped to convince a local politician to contribute exclusively. East Midlands MEP-UKIP’s Derek Clark (a Rugby fan himself) who goes back and forth to Brussels and Belgium, is now set to not only be it’s exclusive special guest at the functions, but to be the first to introduce him to the City of Edinburgh, and potentially be a complimentary guest at Murrayfield as well as at the Leicester Tigers.

Rugby clubs hosting are: Murrayfield in Edinburgh (on the evening of Saturday 19th April) and the end of the filming at Leicester Tigers (on the evening of Saturday 26th April), between 6pm-1am. Local companies are being offered a platform to shout about their business and generate new leads, and also benefit, exclusively, from publicity by being featured in the film between the two cities. Plus all attendees can take part in a competition between the two cities.

It is also hoped that a new and unique link is formed (for the better) between the two cities through the film, as it should play a major part in a new project, hoping to take place in Leics in July 2009 or 2010. The idea to hold the functions at the Rugby grounds stemmed from the desire for the group to help the clubs to work with the local community, and perhaps, introduce new people to the sport, particularly from the ethnic minorities. The film should also help a great deal to communicate this message.

Ahead of his latest trip to Edinburgh between 19th and 20th February, Ayaz Sheikh, Founder/MD of the Group, 37, from Leicester said, “This is a great way to end a long-running project, and particularly exciting leading up to the Group’s 10th anniversary. I’m grateful to Derek (Clark) for coming on board to help us out, and with him being a rugby fan, more ideal. The opportunity to take him to Edinburgh for the Murrayfield function is exciting, as he’s never been to Edinburgh before. Therefore, I’m hoping he’s well received there. In addition, we’re hoping that a similar counterpart is interested for the Leics event. However, Derek is to attend the Leics event, nevertheless.”

These exciting events will be the ideal opportunity for networking and hopefully, making new friends; it will certainly create a buzz as there will be an unexpected twist to be revealed! It is also hoped that Edinburgh locals would visit for a weekend for the Leicester Tigers event between 25-27th April, as well as Leics locals joining us & Derek for the Edinburgh event between 18-20th April. The group is also working very closely with the clubs/respective events executives to host two of the parties to remember.

Companies/Groups can confirm their table space for just £250, and individuals for just £40, by calling SSCOM GROUP on: 07817 057078 or e-mail info@sscom-group.com  The advice is to act fast to reserve your space.
