Leicester City Football Club’s Walkers Stadium now named in dramatic move, to host exclusive charity dinner event, alongside Murrayfield Rugby Stadium in Edinburgh;

Volunteers sought from both sides of the border, in race against time to help in the ending of unique cultural film documentary between Leics and Edinburgh, spanning from pen-pal friendship since the late 90s.

A non-profit Leicester based voluntary PR agency, SSCOM GROUP (Simon Shiekh Communications Group) which has recently become new members of the Leics and Edinburgh Chamber of Commerces, respectively, has now named Leicester City Football Club’s Walkers Stadium, as a revised venue, alongside Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, to help host two of the most glitzy and unique, charity dinner events, it’s ever hosted, with a difference.

It is all part of a continuing film project “An Insiders Guide to PR” looking at the multi-cultural links between Leicester and Edinburgh via Public Relations. The project now has the big potential to span across the rest of the East Midlands and Scotland, from two lead cities, never seen before and as a real first for two British cities, ever! It all spans from a pen-pal friendship between the Group’s Founder and a Jazz Musician in Edinburgh, which began in August 1999.

As a result, as many volunteers as possible are currently being sought in Leics and Edinburgh, to work on a mini-“Band-Aid” style charity drive. Freelance Make-Up Artists/Hair-stylists are being drafted in for the filming promotions, joining the Promotions Teams and working at the events themselves. The volunteers will also be encouraged in “reality TV style” tasks, to “make friends” with their counterparts in the respective cities of Leics & Edinburgh. The Group is also on the search for an official “mascot” from Leicester and Edinburgh, to play a major part in this venture.

The event in Leicester, billed as a “Murrayfield Dress Rehearsal/Matt Hampson Charity Evening”, is now anticipated to take place at the end of January or February, 2009, at the home of it’s football club, and is set to be a fascinating comparison with Murrayfield Rugby Stadium in Edinburgh, will raise money for the Matt Hampson Trust Fund. It also hopes to work in association with the respective clubs, themselves, and gain the support.

Other local charities are invited to “bid” for the chance to benefit from the fund-raisers, from both cities, alongside the Matt Hampson Trust Fund.

Guests can be expected to be treated to optional wine receptions at both events. At the Leicester event, they will be given a preview of the final filming event, billed as "The Big One!"-to take place at Murrayfield Rugby Stadium Corporate suites, anticipated for February/March 2009, meet/hear a speech from East Midlands MEP-UKIP’s Derek Clark, find out what the group’s work is about, get to see snippets of the filming so far and get the chance to eat a “slice” of the group’s 10th anniversary “birthday cake”, exclusively.

Founder of the Group, Ayaz Sheikh, from Leicester said, “These are two respective evenings not to be missed. I believe that new tourism can be created, and with the opening of the new Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester, people from Scotland, particularly, have to come and see it, to believe it, themselves. Hopefully, we at SSCOM GROUP can help contribute to this. Plus, it’ll be the biggest, cultural celebration, ever seen between two British cities. As for Edinburgh, well that speaks for itself; it clearly is the place to be and visit.”

Weekend promotional trips will be organised for both events, where guests can arrive on a Friday, in time for the event evenings themselves, on a Saturday, taking in views of the cities and other entertainment planned.

It is hoped that the man himself, Matt Hampson, can attend both events, exclusively, as well as other surprise guests, including from Scotland and the East Midlands.

Tickets can be booked for £60 a head, or £600 for tables of 10 people, at both venues, respectively, which will include donations to the charities.
