Michael Johnson is Acting Operations Manager till Sunday 19th September, 2010.

The main role for the Operations Manager position, is as follows:

• To be the deputy of the SSCOM GROUP, thus manage the operations for the Leicester/Northants/Notts side of the group in recruiting, interviewing volunteers, subsequently, be responsible in appointing suitable individuals to the group.

• Represent the group on Senior Management matters/meetings and so on

• To help appoint all Senior Management, such as PR Manager, Group Secretary, Charity/Voluntary Organisations & Business/Company Liaison Manager, the Treasurer and the Edinburgh Project Manager.

• To be the Line Manager for the Group Secretary , Charity/Voluntary Organisations & Business/Company Liaison Manager , Travel Club Manager , the Community Relations Manager & the Graphic Designer.

• Work closely with the Group Senior Management and ensure other members of the Group are working to the standards set.

• Attend and network at events via the Leics/Northants/Notts Chamber of Commerce events.

• Attend meetings with the rest of the Group, discussing the latest news and further plan of action. This hopes to take place every fortnight.

• To bring fresh ideas to the role for Leicester & Northants

• To liaise with the group in relation to all matters, concerning the group, and alert it with any news of possible interest.
