Biggest Music Quiz Competition to hit the city for Leicester Mercury LOROS appeal
Leicester Voluntary PR Agency (SSCOM GROUP) is to kick off, it believes, the “biggest music quiz” competition, ever seen in the city by joining in the campaign for the Leicester Mercury LOROS appeal. Memsaab in the Highcross, Leicester and Mirch Masala in Market Street in the city centre, have been signed up to help the Group launch a series of “music quiz afternoons/evenings”, as of Saturday 17th July to Sunday 1st August, and then a second and final series from Wednesday 15th September to Sunday 28th November. A “Grand Final” is poised to take place at The City Rooms, Hotel Street in the city on the evening of Wednesday 1st December, to crown the overall winner and become the “Christmas Number 1!”
40-60 applicants maximum at each quiz, will battle to go towards the “Grand Final” after at least 40 events at the two distinctive restaurants have taken place. All 40 finalists at the City Rooms will be expected to bring “supporters”, to help make up a maximum of 200 attendees at this final in December. The catering should also be provided by the two restaurants.
Highcross Retail vouchers, as well as other prizes will be up for grabs via teams of 4 maximum sought for the initial quizzes at the restaurants, to battle to the top! Cryptic music genre from the 60s to the present day will be dished out to those, brave enough to take on host, “Simon Shiekh” and guest hosts who promise to inject humour and witty style to those attending. Memsaab/Mirch Masala will also serve snacks to keep those on their toes throughout the afternoons/evenings, which would take place on Wednesdays/Fridays and Saturdays at Mirch Masala from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, and at Memsaab on Saturdays and Sundays from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Tickets are priced at £15 for both venues.
Acting PR Manager of the Group, Ayaz Sheikh, 39, from Leicester said, “We’re very excited to work in association with MemSaab and Mirch Masala for this Leicester Mercury LOROS appeal. SSCOM GROUP is developing into a great team, however the more people we have on board, the more money we can raise to reach our goal, so if anyone is interested in helping us out, then please contact us asap. I hope we can sell out the first Saturday, as part of this exciting launch and we are also expecting other local figures to help launch this campaign”.
