To whom it may concern:
SSCOM GROUP cannot pay a wage, as it depends on voluntary contribution (and is working voluntarily on this venture) as it hasn’t/will not continue to receive any financial means from either any of the existing clients and/or any other source, (i.e local authority). However, it will look to investigate any potential funding sources, once the film has been released on DVD/Internet in due course, to work on other spin-off projects as a result of the current venture. The group will also hope to continue to work in association with charities and other non-profit organizations, but could also end up working in association with businesses. It will certainly hope to work in association with Edinburgh on other projects, hoping to be revealed in 2008 and beyond, and will look to represent people from the multi-cultural community and help them to achieve their potential.
- However, SSCOM GROUP aims to pay for any relevant expenses for volunteers/contributors, i.e. travel/accommodation, esp to Edinburgh.
- The film will need to promote inter-culturalism between Leics and Edinburgh, and ensure that what is highlighted in this film is perceived positively for the future. This is vital for a city like Leicester and should also provide Edinburgh in being famous, other than the existing Fringe Festival; this is the challenge faced by SSCOM GROUP, which is working for nothing for the moment. The venture is self-financed by myself but is also carefully controlled financially; ensuring debt is kept to a minimum, but that maximum results are achieved. This is certainly proving to be a continuous success, especially in the time remaining, as per our feedback from MPs and other avenues. Of course, publicity is required, but that is hopefully looking to be used for making the difference; banishing apathy and getting as many local people from the two cities as possible to enrich a new experience, of which we are confident of achieving.
- Further filming between now and when it ends resumed as of Saturday 24th November, 2007, in Leicester. This included a meeting between the Founder/MD of the Group & the Non-Executive Director of the group, Marcus Solanki-an advisor to the project since October 2006. (Due to circumstances beyond the group’s control, it was not in operation since the end of July 2007 until the end of October 2007). This should make a huge difference in creating new links between 2 unrelated cities, stemming from my pen-pal/inter-cultural friendship with a Scottish White Male from Edinburgh, which, otherwise, would’ve been unlikely, due to having only one interest in common; cricket! But of which SSCOM GROUP has played a huge part in helping to maintaining that friendship.
It is also hoped that a press conference in Leicester and Edinburgh is re-scheduled, concentrating on the following points:
- A statement from SSCOM GROUP about the recent terror attacks in London and Glasgow; how SSCOM GROUP perceives the recent and current climate
- The new “People’s Publicist” service for Leics (& Edinburgh), including news of a PR Survey to come.
- A major competition between the two cities-a real “first” for two British cities-ever!
- The search and eventual recruitment of a PR Campaign team for SSCOM GROUP
- News of a new, major event for Leicester (and Edinburgh) before the end of the filming, and to be incorporated into the film documentary.
