Currently available, the position for Leics/Northants/Notts is as follows:

• To be the Deputy Supervisor of the SSCOM GROUP Leics Promotions Team & the Promotions Apprentice for Leics/Northampton/Nottingham subsequently, be responsible in co-appointing suitable individuals to the group in association with the Promotions Team Leader & the Leicester based, Senior Management team of SSCOM GROUP.
• Work closely with the Promotions Team Leader, the rest of the Promotions Team and the counterpart team in Northampton/Notts & Edinburgh including the Group’s Senior Management Team.
• Attend meetings with the rest of the Leics/Northants/Notts team in city centre based offices (as per booking with SSCOM GROUP-Leicester), and discuss promotion material and Promotion events where the team will/could be working at.
• Be prepared to travel across the East Midlands for promotion purposes as & when necessary with possible overnight stays, if appropriate.
• Travel to and promote in Leics/Northants & Notts
• Examine the SSCOM GROUP website, offer suggestions of any possible improvement & help to create a new section for Leics/Northants/Notts
• Study possible promotion suggestions by SSCOM GROUP-Leicester, and offer advice of relevance.
• Use as much local knowledge as possible and suggest promotional locations, which can be interesting for the planned Name The Tune weekenders in 2010.
• Ensure other Promotion Team Members/Deputy Promotions Team Leader are working to the standards set.
• Visit Edinburgh to meet the counterpart team and so on.
• Keep expenses to a minimum if possible, but liaise with SSCOM GROUP-Leicester for any possible necessary expenses which may incur during the period.
• Attend any networking meetings, organised by Leics , Northants & Notts Chamber of Commerces via SSCOM GROUP-Leicester and so on, and promoting the venture to business representatives.
• Read and research the local Leics / Northampton / Notts press and identify any material of interest to the Group for Leics/Northants/Notts
• Liaise with the Leicester based PR Manager of the Group’s Senior Management Team, in terms of any material for a press release.
• Liaise with the local media in Leics/Northampton/Notts and be a spokesperson, alongside the Group PR Manager
• Liaise with local organisations/businesses such as Universities, Colleges, Voluntary Organisations, Sporting Clubs, local MPs and MEP, Derek Clark’s constituency office in Northampton & attend any meetings at their offices and promote/update news about the SSCOM GROUP.
• Follow up with existing contacts of SSCOM GROUP (via SSCOM GROUP-Leics) since 2006, and update them with the latest situation about the venture.
• Liaise with the events team at the earmarked "Name The Tune" venues, in association with the Corporate Events Manager, and report back to SSCOM GROUP-Leics and the Deputy Promotions Team Leader-Leics/Northants/Notts
• Liaise with local authorities and so on, especially if any permission may be needed for Leicester/Northampton/Nottingham City Centres to promote.
• Be prepared to “sit in” for any member of the Promotions Team, who maybe off sick or on holiday.
• Work with the Deputy Promotions Team Leader/Graphic Designer/Design Assistants on flyers/leaflets and a pamphlet/magazine for the events to come.
• Identify and offer application opportunities to potential promotion team members, from all sections of the community.
